Ross Baxter Interview - Cyber Smut

In this interview, Ross and I talk about the inspiration for his short story 'Self Service'—an erotic tale described by reviewer Carmilla Voiez as having 'a Cronenberg-style techno-horror vibe'. We also talk about writing for a gay male audience, his 30 years at sea, and more. Really enjoyed this and hope you do too. ~ Julianne

Here are the interview questions:

1. Tell us about your thirty years at sea—how did that start, and end?

2. How did you end up living in Derby?

3. What attracts you to sci-fi and horror? Do you ever stray from those genres?

4. How did you decide to submit to Cyber Smut?

5. Would you like to share the inspiration for ‘Self Service’?

6. Tell us what interests you in writing about banal lives/activities?

7. Do you have any comments about AI and how quickly technology is advancing?

8. Your bio says you like writing sci-fi and horror, is ‘Self Service’ a departure? Do you have other sex-themed stories, or is this a one-off?
